Land Acknowledgment

"I would like to thank and acknowledge the Coast Salish Nations of Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) on whose traditional, ancestral and un-ceded territory I have the honour of practicing being and knowing." Zahra Rahbari

About Me...

Creating a collaborative Professional Development platform for educators, and providing a quick resource for parents has been my passion since I started working with children, families and observing early years educators.

Let me introduce myself...
I am originally from Iran, with 20+ years of experience working with young children. I hold a Master's Degree in English. As an avid book lover, I investigated children's interest in reading books for my Master's of Arts, and children's preferences regarding translated or non-translated proper nouns. Findings of this research revealed that children prefer original proper nouns.

Following Love...

After I came to Canada, I delved into Early Childhood Education, obtained Early Childhood Education and Infant & Toddler certificates. I  pursued a Master of Early Childhood Education at UBC, while being honoured to be at the service of community by running a multi-age licensed group child care centre.

My immigration to Canada and working with families with different backgrounds (e.g. non-English speaker, immigrant, Indigenous and dominant culture families) provided me with the opportunity to advance my understanding of the current mosaic multicultural learning environment.

Recognizing educators' ongoing inquires, families' worries and most importantly the need for constant growth in learning with children, I have provided this website as a quick guide or resource for educators and parents.
